Kibune Shrine

Tonight I went on a tour through autumn leaves by train to Kibune Shrine in the mountains some 20 km north of Kyoto. Kibune is older than Kyoto and dates from around the 5th century. Kibune Shrine is said to be the origin for "ema" votive plaques.  These wooden plaques have a picture of a horse and wishes are written on them.
